Here’s What to Expect

1

A Warm Welcome

A friendly face will greet you at the door and help you feel right at home. We won't single you out or ask first-time visitors to stand up front.

2

Bible-Based Worship

Heartfelt singing, prayer, and preaching straight from the King James Bible. Whether you grew up in church or have never been, you'll be able to follow along.

3

Come As You Are

There's no dress code — some folks dress up, some come casual. Bring the whole family; children are always welcome at Goodwill.

Our Mission & Purpose

Bible Based. Christ-Centered. Family Focused.

We’re a friendly, family-oriented Independent Baptist church in Topton, Pennsylvania. We gather to worship the Lord Jesus Christ, study His Word verse by verse, and reach our community with the Gospel.

Our purpose is simple — to love God, ground everything in His Word, share the Gospel of Christ, and guide people and families to grow in the Lord.

God & Jesus Christ

To love Him, to have a personal relationship with Him, and to bring honor and glory to Him in all that we say and do.

Bible Based

Everything preached, taught, and shared with others is grounded in the Word of God — the King James Bible.

Gospel Centered

To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ so others may be saved — witnessing to friends, neighbors, family, and the world through outreach and missions.

People Focused

To spiritually guide, encourage, and strengthen individuals and families to follow Christ, build godly homes, and fulfill the Great Commission.

What We Believe

We hold to the historic doctrines of the Independent Baptist faith. Here are four of them.

The Bible

We believe the King James Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God — our final authority for faith and practice.

The Trinity

One God eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Salvation

By grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone — not of works, lest any man should boast.

The Church

Local, autonomous, Baptist — gathered to worship, edify believers, and preach the Gospel.

Get Involved

Our Ministries

There’s a place for every member of the family to learn, grow, and serve.

Young Adult, Teen & Children's Ministry

Thursday evenings at 6:15 PM — a time for young adults, teens, and children to learn and grow in God's Word together.

Men's Bible Study

Good men, God's Word, great purpose. A time of prayer, fellowship, and Bible study as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Ladies' Bible Study

The ladies of GIBC gather for study, prayer, and encouragement — growing together in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

Nursing Home Ministry

Bringing hymns, Scripture, and Christian fellowship to residents at local nursing homes in our community.

How to Know You’re Saved.

The Bible tells us salvation is a gift from God, received by faith in His Son Jesus Christ. The Roman Road through Scripture lays it out simply.

A

Admit

Romans 3:23

Admit that you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

B

Believe

Romans 5:8

Believe that Jesus Christ died for you. “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

C

Call

Romans 10:13

Call upon the Lord. “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Giving

Support the Work of the Lord.

Your tithes and offerings keep the doors open, the lights on, and missionaries on the field. Give securely online — or drop your offering in the plate Sunday morning.

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give... for God loveth a cheerful giver.”— 2 Corinthians 9:7
